Wanting to get the boat out to the lake at least one last time this year, my buddy and I set out to go carve up the lake one last time. I thought, why not a video? So starting in the forward cabin, this is the salon, walking up to the cockpit, checking out the engines running great, and checking out the wake in the river.
heading out to the lake
Heading out to the lake... Just kicking it back up for a sec before a bridge.
Carving up Lake Michigan on a Last Hoorah!
A Last blast running out on the lake after a season of troubleshooting problems and learning more than I'd ever known about diesel engines, their care, and maintenance. We can finally once again after a two year stretch, run the diesels at full throttle for any length of time without running over 200 degrees. This run was a pedal to the metal run at just over 30 mph!!! Quite fast for a boat of this size!
Keeping a close eye on the engines
Love the sound of the diesels. Just keeping an eye on them...
Running back from the lake to make the lock
On my way back from the lake doing a last run of the year. We had the full covers up, engine hatch open, to keep an eye on things.
